Real Techniques Duo Fiber Collection Review

Hi everyone! Today i'm back with a review on the Real Techniques duo fiber collection. I received this for my birthday and featured it in my what I got for my 15th birthday post. This is my second set from Real techniques that I own. I also own the Core collection. I've heard mixed reviews about this set so I decided to give you my thoughts on it.

These brushes are designed to give a very light application of makeup to your skin, which is great if you want to apply bronzer as you don't want a long streaky line down your face! They are really soft and the bristles are very lightweight. You cant automatically feel the difference to the other Real Techniques brushes as they are not as dense as them.

You receive three brushes, a face brush, a contour brush and an eye brush.

Features of the Face brush
The face brush is great for adding a dash of loose or pressed powder over the face to add the finishing touch to your makeup. It is also great for lightweight application of bronzer

Features of the Contour brush
The contour brush is great for contouring and sculpting the face without giving any harsh lines. It is great for adding blusher and highlighter. I think this would also work well with cream blushers.

Features of the Eye Brush
The eye brush is great for blending eyeshadow in the crease and also for all over the lid colour.

I love the packaging of these brushes as they are very sleek and practical. The bristles do not fall out and the handles are quite sturdy. You can also easily wash these brushes with Johnson's baby shampoo.

Overall I feel that these brushes are worth investing in. They are great for many uses and are great quality. The only downside is the price (£23.99) they are quite expensive but I feel that they are worth the money. I would love to purchase more Real Techniques brushes in the future! You can buy these brushes from BOOTS at £23.99, AMAZON.CO.UK at £17.99 or FRAGRANCE DIRECT at £21.50.

Hope you enjoyed this review!

Whats on My Nails #4

Hi everyone! Today I am wearing Barry M's Gelly Hi Shine in the shade 'Prickly Pear' Also I have used some of the Style Addict Nail polish from Avon over the accent nail which creates a really nice sparkle to it. This colour is perfect for summer and also lasts a long time without chipping! The formula is quite thick which gives a gel consistency and makes it appear more shiny.

I only needed 2 coats of the Barry M nail polish to get the full effect. I would love to buy more of these Barry M Gelly Hi Shine's as they have a great formula and are reasonably priced.

You can buy this Barry M nail polish HERE for £3.99 and currently they have a buy 1 get the 2nd half price offer on some Barry M products.

Hope you enjoyed reading this!

Have you tried any Barry M gelly nail polishes?

Maybelline Baby Lips in Mint Fresh Review

Hi everyone! So if you haven't heard of these lip balms then you must be living under a rock! These lip balms are everywhere and are selling out fast. They are available in 6 different flavours/shades. I got this one for my birthday when they had first came out. So lets get started with the review!

This lip balm is in the flavour 'Mint Fresh' As you can see this one is clear and doesn't give off any colour on your lips. I have never tried a mint lip balm before so I chose this one. As soon as you apply this lip balm you can feel a tingly feeling on your lips, which I really like as it is refreshing.

These cost £2.99 each which is a real bargain if you are looking for a good lip balm. They also have available some lip balms with colour to them. You can look at all the different shades HERE. I have really enjoyed using this, this summer as it is quite cooling in the hot weather.

I think the packaging is original and quite cute. They have very bright colours on them and definitely stand out from other lip balms. I think they are worth the hype as they are really refreshing and do not dry out your lips like other lip balms do. I would love to get my hands on the other shades but they are selling out pretty quick! If you want to try these lip balms I recommend you heading to your nearest Boots or Superdrug fast as they may only have a few shades left.

Thanks for reading my review!

Product Empties #1

Hi everyone! Today I am going to be showing you some products that I have used up/ nearly used up. I'm going to tell you a bit about them and whether or not I am going to repurchase them. This is my first ever empties post and I have been saving these products up for a while now to show you. So lets get into it!

I used to love this product in the colder months as my skin didn't get too oily. But as we approached the warmer months, July and August (having said that, it has just started to pour down with rain outside, typical English weather) my skin gets really oily. I have found when using this product that it does not keep my skin matte for 5 hours (as it claims) More like 2 hours. As a result of this I will be trying another pressed powder for the warmer months and I will go back to using this in the winter and autumn time

I absolutely adore the smell of this. It is so refreshing and great for summer. Even though the bottle appears quite small you can still get many uses out of it. You can also buy a bigger version of it. The scent seems to linger in the bathroom for hours, which is a good thing. I will be repurchasing this again once I have used up many other shower gels that I own.

This body lotion smells like heaven. It reminds me of the drink Tropicana. It is very moisturizing and the smell stays on your skin for a long time. The smell is also quite strong so you don't need to use a lot of it. I will also be repurchasing this.

I have been using this for a long time since I started getting spots. It has helped my skin a lot and definitely reduces spots and calms them down a little. However it is quite expensive and tends to run out quickly which means I only use a little amount when I really need it. I will be repurchasing this again.

Ooh La Spa Moisture Boost Body Butter
I found this body butter in Superdrug and was around £1. This has a gorgeous smell and is also really moisturizing and conditioning. It reminds me of The Body Shop scents, but cheaper. I bought it quite a while back and I cant see it on the website which is a shame. It contains Shea butter, ginger extract, patchouli, vanilla and bergamot. I would repurchase this product again as it last for a long time.

This was the first ever facial scrub that i had tried and I was impressed. It immediately takes away any dead skin cells and bacteria on your skin and leaves it feeling really soft and smooth. It is also very long lasting. I have had this for a year now and it has only just run out. The only downside I would say is that it may be a bit harsh on sensitive skin. This has also lived up to its name and has cleared my skin from any spots and blemishes. I will be repurchasing this again.

I have found that the smell of this deodorant is terrible. It doesn't smell refreshing at all. It lingers on your clothes for a long time which isn't very nice. As you may have seen from my previous HAUL I have bought a different deodorant which hopefully smells better than this. This deodorant isn't all negative as it is long lasting and keeps you feeling fresh throughout the day. I won't be repurchasing this again.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

My Lipstick Collection

Hi everyone! Today i'm going to be showing you my lipstick collection. A lot of my lipsticks are from Avon as it is where I started buying my makeup from.

No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in 'Mulberry' SPF 15
I received this lipstick from my work experience at Boots. The formula is quite matte and it would look great for autumn and winter! It also has SPF in it which means it protects your lips from the sun. You can buy it HERE

No7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick in 40 'Lovely'
This lipstick has a really lovely shine to it. As you can see in the photo, it has a bit of glitter in it. It creates a shiny lip gloss effect as well which isn't sticky. I love it! You can buy it HERE

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in 'Rose Petal'
This lipstick is really cheap at only £1.99. However I feel that this shade does not suit me very well as it is too pale for me. It also leaves your lips really dry and I found that it doesn't moisturize them very well.
Avon Lipstick in 'Sparkling Nude'
I love Avon lipstick as they are really pigmented. This is a lovely nude shade. It would look great for spring and for winter.
Calvin Klein Lipstick in 'Ethereal'
I bought this from fragrencedirect.co.uk at a complete bargain of £1.99. The colour is a medium toned pinky/coral  shade. The pigmentation of this lipstick is great and does last for a long time. It has a nice raspberry smell to it as well. You can buy it HERE
Color Trend (Avon) Lipstick in 'Sequin'
This was one of my first lipsticks that I own and I really enjoy wearing it. It has a really natural finish and gives off a nice shine. It was also really cheap.
Avon Lipstick in 'Nude Mocha'
I bought this lipstick mainly because of the unusual packaging. You simply twist it up with one hand and apply it to your lips. However the colour didn't really appeal to me when applied. It's not long lasting and it comes off your lips quite easily.
Avon Lipstick in 'Frozen Rose'
This was my second lipstick I bought with the unusual packaging. I really like this colour as it has a really sparkly sheen to it. It look great n your lips and has a nice creamy formula. This is one of my favourites in my collection.
Avon Anew Lip Plumping Lipstick
This lipstick is really moisturizing and creamy when you apply it. It works great on dry lips. This lipstick could also be used as lip balm due to its formula. Its not that pigmented and looks quite natural. you can buy it HERE
MAC Lipstick in 'Angel'
This is my first and only product that I own from MAC. It has a Frost finish which means it has a shimmer to it an is quite creamy. The colour is a light pink shade. I only use this lipstick on special occasions as it is quite expensive. You can buy it HERE
ELF Lipstick in 'Posh'
The pigmentation in this lipstick is amazing! It has a bold colour which stays on your lips for a long time. This ELF lipstick was only £1.50. I recommend these lipstick and I will be buying more in the future. You can buy it HERE
Avon Lipstick
I adore this lipstick and the colour is perfect. Its really annoying as I don't know what shade this is as the sticker has peeled off! The formula is creamy and applies really well. Its also really wearable for daytime and nightime
Unknown Lipstick
I have no idea where this lipstick is from but I do like the colour of it. The colour is really bright and bold with great pigmentation. I wish I knew where this came from as I would buy more.
Avon Lipstick in 'Mauve Moon'
This is a lovely cherry shaded lipstick. The formula is really creamy and applies nicely. It also has a really nice smell to it which reminds me of strawberry jam.
Avon Lipstick in 'P303'
I think this lipstick was a limited edition one as it is quite unique. It has a jelly/balm on the outside and has the lipstick on the inside. This make the colour really glossy and have a lipgloss effect to it. The colour is bold and would look great to wear for a Christmas party.
Avon Lipstick in 'Red Kiss'
The pigmentation of this lipstick is crazy! I applied one coat of this and it appears bright and really bold. The lipstick has a pretty marble effect to it. It also is really glossy and looks amazing on the lips.

Hope you like my collection!

Beauty Haul: Boots and Primark

Hi everyone! A few days ago I went into town to buy a few beauty bits and makeup. I used some of my birthday money and also ended up gaining a few more boots points, which is always good!

The first things I got were some nail polishes. I got 2 Barry M Gelly Hi Shine nail polishes in the shades 'Lychee' and 'Prickly Pear' I've never tried these before and I wanted to give them a go as I've heard many good reviews on them. They were also buy 1 get 1 half price. I also bought my first ever Sinful Colors nail polish in the shade 'Easy Going' This was only £1.99 for 15ml!

Next I bought a Natural Collection Pressed Powder in 'Neutral' This was only £1.99 and I have just run out of my Rimmel Stay Matte one, so I needed another. I decided to give this one a try as its a bargain and the Rimmel one wasn't working well for me as I have really oily skin.

I then bought the Sally Hansen Insta- Dri top coat. I am very impatient when it comes to waiting for my nails to dry and I always tend to smudge the as well! This was a bit expensive at £5.99 but hopefully it works well.

I bought the L'oreal Micellar Solution as it was reduced by a third off. I saved £1.66 and I got it for £3.33. A lot of people have said this is a good product, so I decided to give it a go.

The last beauty item I bought was a deodorant (boring) I had just finished my Dove original one and wanted to try something new. I saw this on offer for £2. It has a really nice scent and is quite refreshing. I also know that Zoella from Youtube has the same one as she showed it in her vlog :)

I also saw a stand that had free samples of the Sk:n cleanser. I picked one up and have already tried it. It makes your face really soft and exfoliates really well.

I also had a quick look in Primark and saw these cute earrings! I love the rose ones and the swallow ones. For £2.50 I thought these were a bargain!

Hope you enjoyed my haul!
